Katie L. Mar 4 Hey, Now that it is March, is anyone ready to start Sunday pick-up? This Sunday starts daylight saving (small of-little-importance factoid---it is "saving" not "savings"- the word uses the present participle "saving" as an adjective), and it could just be the time to start tuning up. I hear there is a tournament coming up the second weekend of April. :) Thanks to all the folks working on GG. Do we want to say 4:00 PM? Harmon? Aaron T. Feb 4 Greetings, Who's running Spring League this year? I propose a bring your own team format, with a mandatory "newbie" quota. This would be similar to Seattle's system (discnw.com) for league play. The benefits to this type of league seem like a good fit for Bend's league: player retention and commitment levels enhanced and player numbers enhanced through active recruitment (in the workplace for instance). Basically, same as the draft, only better. The notion of certain teams getting disproportionately stacked seems mute, as Switzer's team always crushes everyone anyway- even with the draft. -A Alex B. Matt F. Jan 31 Ok, so the weather is GREAT, the snow sucks, and I'm itching for some ultimate! So, I'm officially calling for pickup ultimate tomorrow at 12:30 at Harmon. It gives you time to get some exercise in, take a shower, and then go watch the superbowl and eat lots of ridiculous food.
