Register for BUCL 2011

Overview

This year Bend Ultimate City League is USA Ultimate sanctioned. They provides us with insurance and organazational structure. Practially it means everyon has to have their USA Ultimate waiver complete and accurate, as we will mail the rosters and all the waivers to USA Ultiamte. They also charge a $10 fee per player which covers you for the whole season, but do not send money to USA Ultimate as we will cover this cost from your Bend Ultimate dues. If you are a youth or a current USA Ultimate member then talk to me about getting a discount. Also, youth players (under 18) and chaperones for youth players need to complete additional forms.

The payment instructions and required forms will be emailed to you once you're registered below.

If a captain recruited you for their team then mark that in the "RECRUITED BY" box. If you need to play on the same teams as a significant other then put their name down in the comment box.

EXPERIENCE 1. I have never played Ultimate before 2. I have played some pickup Ultimate 3. I have played casual league Ultimate 4. I have league Ultimate competitively 5. I have traveled for a competitive tournament 6. I have made it to regionals in at least one college or national competition 7. KNOWLEDGE 1. I know nothing about Ultimate 2. Played Ultimate before, but never with organized offenses or defenses 3. Learning basic vertical offense and how to force effectively in games 4. THROWING 1. I can throw only easy short ones 2. Throw a backhand or forehand, but not consistently against a mark 3. Both forehand + backhand and usually get the disc to a teammate 4. Throw a solid 15 yard backhand and short forehands agains the mark 5. Consistently complete open forehands and backhands up to 25 yards 6. Break the mark regularly 7. Throw accurate hucks + hammers in the wind

ATHLETICISM 1. I get winded walking from the couch to the TV 2. I can jog around a bit, but not run 3. I run for extended periods and occasionally sprint 4. I can sprint and make more than one cut in a row 5. I can sustain sprints and make multiple, full speed cuts 6. I cut hard at a full sprint for a full point and out-jump most players of my gender 7. I am usually the fastest, most athletic player on the field

SPIRIT 1. Swearing helps my teammates run faster! 2. Just give me the damn disc! 3. Why use a timeout when you can argue for 10 minutes? 4. Go team! 5. My skilled cheering (heckling?) will spice up the fun 6. On-the-spot cheers, skits & games are my specialty 7. I will bring cookies and barbecue to every game, for both teams

An email with these instructions will be sent to you after you complete the registration in step 1, but just to summarize:

• USA Ultimate Event Fee & Waiver Form needs to be completed
• Players under 18 need to give the Medial Auth Form to their chaperones
• Chaperones must be approved by USA Ultimate here
• Bring a $40 check made out to "Bend Ultimate", or pay online here
