Bend Ultimate is a fun and competitive recreational mixed gender Ultimate Frisbee™ league. The goal is to provide a social atmosphere for adult players of all abilities and experience, but we do keep score, and crown a champion.
Bring cleats, water and your team jersey. Every player gets a team-colored jersey, but until they're printed grab a light & a dark shirt. Parks & Rec stressed the no beer policy, but not the no dog policy. If you do bring a dog make sure you have a leash that can be secured to something and some bags for any messes.
Register On-Line. Last year we used a new system where captains built the core of their teams before the draft. Let us know what you though of that in the comment section when you register. Right now we are looking for players (and captains), so register now!
We have no official clinic planned yet, but if you'd like to learn some basics in a relaxed atmosphere then come out to Pick-Up! Anyone is welcome. Be sure to ask about how to throw, offense and defense positioning, how and when to jump for the disc, body control and dangerous plays, zone offenses & defenses, stack offense discussion, orizontal offense discussion, defensive forcing and creating space for your teamates.
As far as fields go we just got Big Sky for the whole season! Field 4 & 5 will handle all our regular season games on Thursday evenings from 5:40pm to 8:30pm, and we're trying to get them as well to accomodate our finals on Saturday August 21st (hopefully). Yeah for everyone being in one spot on great fields! The only draw back is that we had to delay until June to get the space, so we ended up with six instead of the usual eight team because many players are on vacations or travelling for summer jobs.
Let us know what you thought of the team balance last year. We are considering using a similar system of building and drafting teams.
Each team recruits a sponsor to help out the league. We appreciate all their help in making this great league possible. The cost is $150 and sponsors get the their logo on the the jerseys and links from this web site, plus many adoring Bend Ultimate fans!

City League plays Thursday evenings starting June 17 through August 19. A finals tournament on August 21 is a possibility. We are playing at Big Sky fields 4 & 5 for the whole season!
